Our members are the heart and soul of our Credit Union, anyone can join. To open an account with us you will need to become a member of Community Alliance Credit Union Limited (“the Credit Union”). As a mutual financial institution, we are owned by our members, not shareholders seeking profits. This means we can remain focused on providing our members with excellent products and services, member benefits, fair fees & charges and of course, great service.
To become a member you will need to:
- Complete a membership application
- subscribe for a member share in the Credit Union
The member share is a redeemable preference share. This means that when you resign your membership of the Credit Union, we refund you the subscription price. Your membership share is not transferable.
Provide Proof of Identity
The law requires us to verify your identity when you open an account or when you become a signatory to an account.

In order to become apply online you will need to be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
What should I have to hand?
In order to make your application as easy as possible, please make sure you have access to several identification documents. Examples of identification documents include: your passport; your driving license; Medicare card etc. Call us on 13 22 49 if you have any questions.
If at any time you would like to stop and save your application you can retrieve it at any time. Once we have received your application we will be in contact with you within 2 business days to confirm your details and proceed with your application.

Apply in person
Apply at any one of our branch locations, where you can make an appointment with one of our experienced lending consultants at your convenience. You will need to bring along proof of your identity and documents need to be originals.
